The unique and extensive experience of design and business operations at the highest international levels of avant-garde design, production and distribution allow us to be able to offer one of the world's most effective practical application training, education and consulting services for individuals and companies.

We offer informational services in the following specific areas for a very limited number of selected applicants:


Corporate Consulting

For serious existing and established companies worldwide seeking to improve their global competitiveness in design, marketing, operations, and financial performance.
Rates beginning at 5000 euros net per day.
Onsite visits or project work additional depending upon specific conditions.

     

Independent Designer Consulting and Assistance wih Area/AICI

Our landmark work founding and running the AICI and AREA Paris exhibitions, allow the serious independent designer at a specific international level to acquire innumerable educational and developmental benefits on a virtually pro-bono basis with their active participation. Applicants must be invited, accepted, and active independent designer participants of Area Paris exhibitions who have paid their required participation contribution fees.  Independent designers are defined by AICI as individuals or companies who create, distribute, produce and finance their own collections entirely in-house and are individually selected and invited to participate at Area edtions.  



Geoffrey B. Small Individual Career Education and Training

work/study internships italy

Introductory hands-on work study programs of 1-6 week duration at Geoffrey B. Small studio workrooms in Cavarzere, Venezia for serious individuals seeking to build a career in international design, manufacture and marketing. Interns will be trained in the fundamentals and assist existing Geoffrey B. Small production, marketing or design operations based upon individual goals and abilities. Italian, EC and non-EC resident students may require institutional or school documentation and authorization for acceptance. Limited availabilty per season. 

work/study internships paris

Small collection presentations in Paris  for serious individuals seeking to build a career in international design, distribution, marketing and manufacture. Interns will be exposed to the fundamentals, and assist in the  existing Paris presentation operations based upon individual goals and abilities. Italian, EC and non-EC resident students may require institutional or school documentation and authorization for acceptance. Limited availabilty per season.

The Apprenticeship Programs in Italy are an exceptional opportunity to learn from these people and use their expertise to develop your own specialised skills.


The Apprenticeship Program offers three different areas of intermediate level work/study:

  1. Made in Italy Artisan Production and Clothes-Making
  2. International designer fashion sales, marketing and communications
  3. Paris prototype collection development

Throughout these programs, you will work personally with the designer and his staff on actual working projects that the company is involved in at the moment you are there. In each one, the hands-on operational knowledge and skills you learn will be of the highest calibre and always integrated with fundamental design theory, giving a very special platform to help launch a successful career in the international fashion industry.

The AICI Sales Training Manual 1.1

developed utilizing experience from almost 30 years of work in the industry with over 42 pages of fundamentals on how to successfully sell independent designer collections at the international level. The first document of its kind in the industry, it provides a written step-by-step introduction to build successful sales for independent designers based on the experience of proven industry practitioners at the top levels.
