GEOFFREY B. SMALL Archive Recycle Paris Collections 1994-1998

Since 1993, Geoffrey B. Small has presented more fashion collections in Paris than any other American designer. Season after season, the designer's cutting-edge originality, creativity and technical versatility have steadily earned a reputation as a leader among international avant-garde designers. Often copied, yet rarely credited, the designer's pioneer work involving recycled and remake fashion design during this period greatly influenced many well-known designer collections and changed the overall commercial direction of the industry for a decade afterward. A selection of runway show coverage from the designer's archives of the legendary ground-breaking shows from "Typical American" in 1994, to "Revolution" in 1998 is available here for viewing exclusively on-line. In 2006, a special limited edition selection of Archive designs from this period were re-created exclusively for American Rag Cie stores in Japan.
